The MME Council has launched 'MME Matters', a new video and podcast series looking at policy and practice, and issues that matter to the community and to our wider society.

The series launches with a double bill, to mark Black History Month 2020.

In the first programme, host Maurice Macartney talks to Ms Joy-Tendai Kangere of the organisation Rooted in Africa and Ireland, and to Dr Loveth Owhor of the African Scholars Association in Ireland about the need for education at all levels on the issues Black History Month raises.

To complete the double bill, Maurice then talks to Dr Livingstone Thompson of the African and Caribbean Support Organisation Northern Ireland (ACSONI) about the continuing need to mark and celebrate BHM.

The MME Council has plans to release programmes looking at Human Rights Day,  public service provision, cultural diversity and inclusion, hate crime and much more...

To watch the first two videos, visit the 'Media' page on our website.

An audio-only podcast version is coming soon - keep an eye on our social media accounts, @mmecouncil, for details!
